You are returning to Memphis, how long did you live here?

I lived there for about 24 years prior to leaving.

Where did you attend college for undergraduate studies and what was your major?

I attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS and I was a Psychology major.

Where did you attend school for your graduate program and what was your major?

I attended Auburn University for my Masters and majored in Applied Behavior Analysis

When did you graduate?

I graduated from the University of Mississippi in the spring of 2011 and from Auburn University in the fall of 2014

What caused you to become interested in working with individuals on the autism spectrum?

To see the difference ABA can make for an individual, family, and other caregivers is joyous.

How long and where have you worked with individuals on the spectrum?

As an undergraduate and graduate student I was able to work with individuals on the spectrum in a variety of settings.  For the last 3 years I’ve been in middle Georgia working with adults with developmental disabilities for a community service provider.

What brought you to Transformations?

Since I am originally from the Memphis area, Memphis is home for me.  I reviewed a variety of opportunities to work as a Behavior Analyst in the Memphis area and really loved the mission that Executive Director Tracy Palm spoke about.  It’s inspiring.

What age group do you like to work with?

I’ve worked with individuals from 3 years old to end of life.  I enjoy working with all ages.

What is the best thing about being a BCBA?

Behavior analysis is not just one part of my life; I can see it everywhere and in everything.  I think it’s amazing and have an appreciation for the work.

What do you find most interesting about your job?

When someone I work with learns something new or does something unexpected.  The ones I work with are always surprising me and this brings me joy.

What excites you every day about going to work?

I enjoy working with people and helping them work towards positive and life changing goals.
