Summer Scholarship Program 2011

Summer Scholarship Opportunity!!

Transformations Autism Treatment Center would like to announce that we are offering a summer scholarship program that will be offered for June 6-July 1, 2011 and July 11-August 5, 2011, (two 4-week summer sessions will be offered).  The goal of this program is to offer 5scholarships per summer session to clients who are in need of ABA services.  Only families who do not have insurance coverage for ABA services may apply for this program.  The following are the criteria that must apply in order for a client to be considered for the program:

  • The family must commit to have their child participate in therapy during the entire 4 week period.
  • The family must be willing to participate as requested by the behavior analyst to collect data and/or be involved with the child’s therapy, included but not limited to being present during therapy sessions.
  • The scholarship is for 10 hours of ABA therapy per week.  It your child is currently receiving services this is in addition to the amount of therapy the child is receiving.  The scholarship is not to take the place of therapy a family is currently paying for at this time.
  • One family member must be willing to volunteer no less than 4 hours for a fund raising activity during the course of the next year.
  • The family must allow the child to participate in a research program in which the child will be video taped, photographed and data collected will be used for presentation purposes.  This research project will be presented at conferences, for publications and for promotional purposes for Transformations Autism Treatment Center.  Details and separate approvals will be given to the parent at the commencement of the research.
  • The family will need to complete the scholarship application and provide the documentation that is required for the application.

Families will be notified by May 23, 2011 if they have been chosen to participate in this program.  If you are interested in applying for this scholarship, please  contact the office at 901-231-1931.
